Right to Know: 

California residents have the right to know what personal information has been collected about them, what personal information that has been disclosed about them, and what personal information has been sold to another party.

A California resident has the right to request the categories of personal information collected, disclosed, and sold.

In order to make a right-to-know request regarding your personal information, please submit your request to Cypress Financial Recoveries, LLC with confirmation that you are a California resident, your full name, and additionally, at least one of the following pieces of identification:

The last four digits of your Social Security Number

Your Cypress Reference Number

Your Account Number

If you are making the request on behalf of a third party, please provide a signed and notarized Power of Attorney executed by the party for whom you are requesting this information providing you or your organization with authority to receive this information.

Cypress Financial Recoveries, LLC (“CFR”) will use this information to verify whether or not we have any personal information for you. Upon the completion of that determination CFR will send you the information requested, the reason why we are not obligated to provide the information requested, notification that you have not provided enough information to verify whether or not we have any consumer personal information for you and what information is necessary to confirm whether we have your consumer personal information, or notice that we have no consumer personal information for you.

Collection of Personal Information:

All personal information CFR receives is subject to the GLBA. All additional information collected by CFR is also subject to GLBA. CFR is a financial institution as defined by U.S. Code Ann. §6809(3)(A). All personal information provided by a consumer to a financial institution is covered by the GLBA per U.S. Code Ann. §6809(4)(A)(i-iii).

Disclosure or Sale of Personal Information:

All personal information disclosed by CFR is subject to the GLBA. All personal information sold is subject to GLBA. CFR is a financial institution as defined by U.S. Code Ann. §6809(3)(A). All personal information provided by a consumer to a financial institution is covered by the GLBA per U.S. Code Ann. §6809(4)(A)(i-iii).

Right to Request Deletion of Personal Information

California Consumers have the right to request the deletion of all or part of the personal information collected and maintained by Cypress Financial Recoveries, LLC.

In order to request the deletion of your personal information held by Cypress Financial Recoveries, LLC, please submit your request to Cypress Financial Recoveries, LLC with confirmation that you are a California resident, your full name, and additionally, at least one of the following pieces of identification:

CFR will use this information to verify whether or not it has any personal information for you. Upon the completion of that determination CFR will send you notification that the information has been deleted, the reason why it is not obligated to delete the information requested, notification that you have not provided enough information to verify whether or not it has any consumer personal information for you and what information is necessary to confirm whether it has any consumer personal information for you, or notice that it has no consumer personal information for you.

In the event CFR does not receive enough information to verify your identity, but can identify you, the request to delete will be treated as a request to opt-out of the sale of data.

If you are making the request on behalf of a third party, please provide a signed and notarized Power of Attorney executed by the party for whom you are requesting this information providing you or your organization with authority to receive this information.

Right to Opt-Out of the Sale of Personal Information

California consumers have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information by a business.

You may submit your request to opt-out via telephone or in writing.

If the request to is being submitted by a third party on behalf of the consumer we must have some signed writing from the consumer giving the party making contact the express authority to request Opt-out on behalf of the consumer.

Financial Incentives

We do not offer financial incentives for consumer personal information.

Do Not Sell My Info

Right to Non-Discrimination for the Exercise of a Consumer’s Privacy Rights

California residents have the right to be free from discrimination based upon their choice to exercise their rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Authorized Agent

As a California resident, you may designate another individual or company to act as your authorized agent via properly executed power of attorney. The authorized agent will be required to provide any and all information required from you to verify your identity as well as proof of your authority to act on your behalf.

Notice to California Consumers: Collection of Personal Information

Cypress Financial Recoveries, LLC is a Financial institution as defined by U.S. Code Ann. 15 § 6809(3)(A) (the Federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”)) and, in the course of business, Cypress Financial Recoveries, LLC (“CFR”), may collect data from you. Because it is a Financial Institution under the GLBA, CFR takes all measures required by the GLBA to protect the privacy of your data.

That data is exempt from the operation of the CCPA per Cal. Civ. Code 1798.145(e) because it is covered by the GLBA.
